SALT LAKE CITY, Jan. 23, 2014 – Onyx Graphics, Inc. is pleased to be celebrating 25 years as an award-winning provider of RIP and print workflow software for the large format display graphics marketplace. Onyx Graphics specializes in providing solutions that drive smarter workflows and help companies improve their bottom line results by reducing printing costs and increasing productivity.

Onyx Graphics has seen remarkable growth since it was founded in 1989 as the first commercial large format print software company. Color has been at the core of Onyx Graphics’ products since the beginning, when the company’s color experts used their extensive knowledge of color behavior and management to develop its unique color engine optimized specifically for large format printing. To this day, the Onyx Graphics staff of dedicated professionals includes color scientists, one of whom is the Vice Chair of the International Color Consortium (ICC).

Over the years, Onyx Graphics has been recognized throughout the world for delivering software that enables users to quickly generate sellable, superior printed output. A recent innovative solution is ONYX® Thrive™ workflow software, the first and only wide format print workflow software that – end-to-end – uses Adobe® PDF Print Engine technology.

Other unique products from Onyx Graphics include the Thrive Production Manager browser-based user interface that enables workflow control from anywhere, optimizing both operator and output device productivity. More recently, the ONYX Connect™ portal provides access to printed job information with a simple, open interface to business software. Its latest release, ONYX 11 software, includes new features and enhancements that simplify large format print production and make printing more predictable. The company also collaborates with leading printer manufacturers to ensure Onyx Graphics’ software solutions work seamlessly with popular hardware, often right “out of the box.”
