Pad Printing

Inkcups Now offers a line of its Sapphire screen- and pad-printing inks that comply with California Proposition 65 and European EN 71 Toy Safety standards. Prop 65 (Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986) contains a list of chemicals that, when used in consumer products in the state of California, must be clearly marked as causing certain diseases or birth defects. Inkcups Now says the Sapphire DP ink series eliminates the need to pre-treat surfaces because the exhibits excellent adhesion to untreated polypropylene. The company also offers Class VI-certified Sapphire MB and J3 series inks for applications that must meet even higher safety standards. The MB and J3 inks are formulated for printing on syringes, auto-suture, medical packaging, and other products that have contact with human bodies or drugs. The Sapphire inks are available in 21 standard colors, and a 12-color mixing system and free formulation guide is available for creating PANTONE colors.
