The printer is equipped with 12-ink capability using HP Vivera pigment inks and features new HP 73 Chromatic Red ink, which reportedly enables up to 95% PANTONE coverage. The Z3200 also features an embedded X-Rite spectrophotometer, enhanced HP Color Center that allows users to manage paper presets and enables productive operation and ink efficiency with automatic servicing routines and optical drop detection to optimize the printer’s performance. The printer supports more than 50 original HP large-format printing materials. Other features include an HP Embedded Web Server, print preview, and other efficiency-enhancing functions, and embedded TIFF, JPEG, and Adobe PS3/PDF RIP that enables direct job submission, queuing, and nesting capabilities. Print speeds range from 27.76 sq ft/hr (2.58 sq m/hr) on glossy media to 182.93 sq ft/hr (16.99 sq m/hr) on coated media, and print resolutions are up to 2400 x 1200 optimized dpi.
