(PRESS RELEASE) PITTSBURGH, PA – The Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation (PGSF) and PRINTING United Alliance collaborated to organize a full day for students to experience the 2024 Printing United Expo.

The day started with greeting students by industry professionals including PGSF Board Members Teresa Campbell, PIA MidAmerica, and Jules VanSant, Bubble& Hatch/Two Sides North America, Mark Bohan, and Konica Minolta/TAGA, along with Lisbeth Lyons-Black and Ford Bowers, Printing United Alliance. All addressed the group of students and instructors before heading onto the show floor.

There were 33 students with their instructors from California Polytechnic State University, Clemson University, Ball State University, Pennsylvania Western University, and Ferris State University treated to private booth tours with Landa, EFI, Konica Minolta, HP, PUA Apparel Zone, and iLearning in the PUA Knowledge Center.

“The time vendors spent with the students is greatly appreciated by the students, their instructors, and PGSF,” says Dianne Bullas, PGSF, who organized the event for PGSF with PUA.

Students learned about new technology and how it is used for printing packaging, stickers, bags, books, and more. They also learned about educational resources during the iLearning presentation. Plus, they received “fun swag” from the vendors representing the many facets of print.

“I was very glad to join PGSF on its Student Day where I got to meet other print and graphics students from across the country attending the conference,” says Sydney Murrin, Senior, Pennsylvania Western University.
