Printware, LLC, St. Paul, MN, a developer, manufacturer, and marketer of polyester CtP platesetters and related services, announced it agreed to acquire Cheltenham, England-based HighWater Designs Ltd. HighWater Designs develops, manufacturers, and distributes prepress products and services specializing in providing a range of software products, interface solutions, metal computer-to-plate systems, and small- and medium-sized commercial printers. HighWater also is an OEM partner of Global Graphics, which supplies HighWater with the Harlequin PostScript Interpreter that powers its Torrent RIP product.

Under the acquisition, HighWater Designs will continue to operate under the HighWater name and will service its worldwide distribution channels and OEM partners form its headquarters in England. HighWater
