Lancer designed its Evolution series of PVC/Phthalate-free garment inks to offer all the advantages of plastisols and none of the drawbacks associated with water-based inks. Evolution inks are formulated to resist drying in screens, so users can print very fine details or halftones with mesh counts up to 355 threads/in. with no choking problems. Lancer also says Evolution inks meet or exceed all requirements on lists of restricted substances from various companies, as well as all EU directives. The inks are available in a four-color-process set, opaque spot colors, Optical White, and the 4551 Colorpro Pantone heat transfers. Heat transfers can be hot- or cold-peeled, and customers can use Evolution 4841 printable adhesive and 4905 First Down clear base with Evolution inks on most heat-transfer papers, as well as Lancer’s Transfilm, a clear, plastic film. Customers can print the 4600 Evolution process colors and use the 4581 Evolution Optical White as an underbase to create opaque four-color process graphics.
