MY DEAR PRINTING Industry Friends,
This is a deeply personal request to my apparel mill, distributor, and printer friends…the Texas Hill Country is my home. I went to college here and have tons of friends and their families still here. Growing up in Texas, I’ve been through dozens of weather tragedies that affected my family and friends directly. But this one has hit so close to home (with the little camp girls especially – my heart is broken) that I feel I’m being called to do something. And I can.
I knew I was being called to do something, but I didn’t know what because in these early days, they’re aren’t enough people to organize the search efforts. It’s almost like people are in the way right now. And I didn’t know what I could do.
So my bestie from college said the obvy – T-shirts. Lightbulb! How could I not remember all the philanthropic efforts the industry has organized so many times over the years, and now it was my time to ask. And the response has been overwhelming. I needed you and you did not disappoint.
These folks have lost everything. We need blanks T-shirts, caps, shorts….anything you can donate that will actually immediately hit the people on the ground who need help NOW. Monetary donations will come in, but for now we need to clothe them. We know the printing industry always comes together for those in need. It’s time again. And printers: If you happen to have any overruns or misprints that could be legally donated (meaning no copyright infringement possibility) that would hugely help too.
If anyone wants to help with apparel or promo products donations, here’s the address and tax id of the foundation for the 501C.

Please put a note in there with your name and company name as the director is keeping track of our generous donations.
The outpouring of support of donations already to the survivors of my beloved Texas Hill Country brings me to tears. But why am I surprised? The industry always rises to the occasion to help in times of need.
We researched and found the very best local foundation that will get our apparel in the hands of the people who desperately need them after a grueling and emotional day of digging mud and having to basically throw out the day’s clothes. A hot shower and a new clean shirt means more than you can know.
So if you’ve already contacted me offline about donating, I have your company name on my list. I’ll be writing a thank you article in a couple of weeks and want to be sure and acknowledge everyone’s kindness. If you would like to help and do send stuff, please let me know so I can add you to my list.
Again, to say thanks to this industry that I love just isn’t enough. You blow me away time after time. Ours is a very, very special business. My heart is full. You’re all honorary Texans to me.
