Employees of Roland DGA Corp., Irvine, CA, partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Orange County over the summer to help construct affordable housing for local families. The company-sponsored volunteer project took place in August at Habitat’s Fullerton, CA job site. A total of 28 employees from Roland’s accounting, information-systems, marketing, and product-management departments for the Color Products and Advanced Solutions Divisions gathered for the two-day event.

“It is our pleasure to contribute to a worthwhile organization such as Habitat for Humanity,” says Bob Curtis, Roland president and CEO. “The experience brought our own organization closer together while allowing us to reach out into the community and make a difference in the lives of others. We look forward to our next opportunity to work with Habitat for Humanity.”

Roland employees assisted with plumbing and underground electrical installations, in addition to preparations required to install dry wall and attach roof trusses. They worked alongside the home owners, who are required to contribute 500 hours of sweat equity to receive a home.
