On April 27, 2012, Rutland Holdings, LLC announced the acquisition of Sociedad Quimica Alemana
S.A., Lima, Peru, the manufacturer of Printop inks.

Upon completion of the acquisition, Hal Crownover, CEO of Rutland Holdings, said, “We are pleased to welcome Printop into the Rutland family and believe that Printop’s access to key existing and emerging markets in Latin America and other parts of the world represents an enormous step forward in expanding our global footprint. Rutland is firmly committed to continuing the availability of Printop’s same high-quality inks that their loyal customers have come to depend upon. The Printop business is an important addition to our already globally-recognized ink brands in the portfolio, including Rutland, Rutland-DCC, Union Ink and QCM inks—all which operate under the Rutland Holdings umbrella.”

“This is a new stage in the Printop growth process and a new gateway of opportunity that is being opened to benefit our customers, our team and our friends,” said Luis Hoefken, CEO of Printop. “The addition of the Printop products to the existing range of products from Rutland, Rutland-DCC, Union Ink and QCM completes the fan of options that the market is currently demanding and assures the development of future technologies that will exceed rigorous environmental and health requirements posed by the industry.” Hoefken continued to say, “We feel proud and recognized that the world leader in the field of textile screen inks has focused its attention on a Latin American company with a unique technology developed locally by Latin minds and hands, and we undertake this new stage with enthusiasm and great vibes!”
