SA International (www.thinksai.com) has released a range of tools, drivers, and upgrades for SAi Flexi signmaking software to improve finishing workflows in signage applications.

Users can now add grommet, fold, and stitch marks as well as bleeds to their banner jobs through SAi Flexi RIP software, eliminating the design step in the workflow. The grommet tool allows users to define the grommet size, specify the number of grommets required by distance or number, set the distance for each edge independently, select a circle with or without fill, and change the color. Results can be evaluated before printing with a real-time preview.

Tools to manage folds and bleeds allow users to input the size of extra white space independently for all four sides, print a frame around the fold, and specify a solid, dashed, or dotted stitch line in any color. Users have several options to continue an image: using solid color, mirroring the image nearest the edge where the fold occurs, or repeating the last line of the image. The bleed width can be set similarly to that of the folds. Users also have the option of switching off printing in the corners.

SAi Flexi also includes a QR Code Creator as well as new printer and cutter drivers from major manufacturers.
