Schaumburg, IL-based Sakurai USA will showcase offset and cylinder screen press automation and conduct live demonstrations featuring offset printing, specialty printing effects and printed electronics applications at a summer Open House to be held from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at the Sakurai headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois.

Schaumburg, IL-based Sakurai USA will showcase offset and cylinder screen press automation and conduct live demonstrations featuring offset printing, specialty printing effects and printed electronics applications at a summer Open House to be held from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at the Sakurai headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois.

“The Sakurai team is looking forward to hosting our customers and prospects as well as select dealers, agents and suppliers for this day long, hands-on event featuring the new 15,000 IPH 80 SD Series offset press as well our ultra high precision Maestro MS-80SD and Maestro MS-102AII cylinder screen presses,” said Greg Friesser, General Manager, Sakurai USA.

Sakurai will be featuring live demonstrations of specialty printing effects applications on the Maestro MS102AII screen press. "The market is hot right now for glitter, soft touch, glow in the dark, raised tactical and chrome foil look printing,” according to David Rose, National Sales Manager, Screen Press Systems, Sakurai USA.

Sakurai will also demonstrate the MS-80SD screen press with an industry-first optical camera registration system and monitor. This press is specifically designed for the printed electronics and overlay market, a segment that demands the ultimate in uniform ink deposit and registration. “The MS -80SD with CCD camera has demonstrated its place as the market’s ultimate sheet feed screen press for accurate printing in the demanding electronics and medical fields,” Rose added. “The Sakurai screen press along with the Natgraph UV and stacker is the industry’s choice for trade finishing and packaging companies offering this service to the marketplace.”

Sakurai 80 SD Series Sheetfed Offset Press
A fully automated four-color 80 SD Series press will be running live at the Sakurai Open House. Ideal for short-run, fast turnaround printing, the new 6-up 80 SD Series is available in 4-6 printing units plus coating and perfecting. The 80 SD provides up to a 50% productivity boost to half size printers with its 23 5/8” x 31 1/8” sheet size and 15,000 IPH running speed.

Maestro MS-80SD Cylinder Screen Press
Sakurai’s servo-driven MS-80SD features an industry-first optical camera registration system and monitor designed to improve registration and performance. The ultra high precision 31 5/8” x 21 3/4” MS-850SD, operates at speeds up to 2,000 IPH and accepts stock from .001” to .0031” with precise registration. The Maestro prints on a wide range of substrates such as plastic film for
membrane switches, display panels and touch screens, etc, as well as paper, board and foil and will be demonstrating printed electronic applications.

Maestro MS-102AII Cylinder Screen Press
Also featured and demonstrating specialty effects printing will be the 29 ½” x 41” Maestro MS102-AII The ultra high-precision Maestro is the cylinder screen press of choice for accurate spot coating and specialty effects printing such as glitter, fragrance, soft touch, raised UV and other applications requiting precise registration. The Maestro operates at speeds up to 4,000 IPH and accepts a wide range of substrates from .003” to .032” thick.
