Second Edition to ‘Printmaking’ Guide Published

Laurence King Publishing has released a second edition of “Printmaking: A Complete Guide to Materials & Process.” Originally published in 2009, the compilation of guides and illustrations for every type of printing process was written by print artists Bill Fick of Duke University and Cockeyed Press, and Beth Grabowski, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and former president of SGC International.

Laurence King Publishing has released a second edition of “Printmaking: A Complete Guide to Materials & Process.” Originally published in 2009, the compilation of guides and illustrations for every type of printing process was written by print artists Bill Fick of Duke University and Cockeyed Press, and Beth Grabowski, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and former president of SGC International. The 256-page paperback features guidance, troubleshooting techniques, and lists of suppliers, workshops, and galleries, as well as 682 illustrations detailing processes from screen printing to Japanese moku hanga woodblock printing. The updated edition includes expanded chapters on digital and mixed media processes, a new “Print & Make” chapter exploring creative expression for printmakers, and additional illustrations throughout.
