SGIA Sets Exhibit Space, Attendance Records

SGIA set not one, but two new records at the 2014 SGIA Expo, held October 22­­–24 at the Las Vegas Convention Center: It was the largest attended SGIA Expo, and it had the most exhibitors on the floor in the history of the event. With 25,500 registered attendees and 541 exhibitors filling 223,000 square feet, the show concluded the 2014 exhibit season in the specialty-graphics industry with a flourish.

Among the highlights of the convention:

With 25,500 registered attendees and 541 exhibitors filling 223,000 square feet, the show concluded the 2014 exhibit season in the specialty-graphics industry with a flourish.

Among the highlights of the convention:

  • The Printed Electronics and Membrane Switch Symposium, held Oct. 21-22 in conjunction with the SGIA Expo and for the first time done in partnership with FlexTech Alliance.
  • The Golden Image Awards Gallery, featuring hundreds of screen- and digitally printed entries in dozens of product categories.
  • The ASDPT Tom Frecska Student Printing Competition, named in honor of the late Tom Frecska, editor of Screen Printing from 1996-2009.
  • Several specialty interest zones on the show floor, including Color Management & Workflow Solutions; Digital Textile Printing; Garments; PDAA (decal and car-wrap installation); and Sustainability.
