X-Rite has equipped the next generation of Kodak’s Veris digital proofer with an inline spectrophotometer. Kodak’s Veris proofer is based on Kodak’s Multi-Drop Array imaging technology, which is designed for precise placement of ink droplets at 1500 dpi. The Veris Inline Spectrophotometer is the result of a collaborative effort between Kodak and X-Rite. The unit, which is embedded in the Veris proofer, is intended to improve precision by automatically calibrating color. The new Veris digital proofer supports the Certified Process for Proofing and the Certified Process for Color Confirmation.
