SwissQprint Subsidiary in Germany

Viscom 2016 in Frankfurt marked the final event where swissQprint and Sihl Direct showed a joint presence. The two companies are to end their sales partnership by mutual agreement on 1 April 2017. Thereafter, a swissQprint subsidiary will take care of the German market. swissQprint announced some initial facts at the show.

Management and personnel
The managing director designate is Wolfgang Tropartz, the present sales manager at Sihl Direct. Frank Krott will be the future technical service manager, the same as his current job at Sihl Direct. The pair have set themselves the goal of making the change go smoothly for customers. Backing them is an experienced team, who likewise are transferring from Sihl Direct to swissQprint.

Home base nailed down
swissQprint plans to make its home in the Cologne/Düsseldorf area. "We will have our showroom, warehouse and administration all under one roof", an aspect that Tropartz sees as equally important as good transport connections. This is because the team will be serving all of Germany from this location.

Full range
The swissQprint subsidiary will supply the Swiss manufacturer’s complete range. swissQprint presented its flagship model at Viscom 2016: the Nyala 2, a 3.2 × 2 m UV flatbed printer with numerous expansion and automation options. The Impala 2 and Oryx 2 are designed along equally modular lines. Both feature a 2.5 × 2 m print bed, so they are compact yet exceedingly versatile and high performance. This is not least thanks to the latest option, a loading and unloading robot named Rob that operates in concert with the printing machine for unmanned shifts.

Satisfied customers
Around 150 existing customers in Germany have 170 of the Swiss precision printers in operation. They appreciate the systems’ high print quality and reliability. "Some of these machines have been operating for nine years and continue to output the same impeccable work as always", says service manager Frank Krott. "There is positive customer reaction to the upcoming change", emphasises Tropartz, adding: "We are doing our utmost to further optimise the already high standard of service".
