Neschen expanded its filmolux line of pressure-sensitive overlaminates with the addition of filmolux scratch and filmolux PP sand. Scratch is a 6-mil, polyester laminating film intended for indoor display applications. It features a permanent, water-based, acrylic adhesive and a crystal-like texture that is reportedly highly resistant to abrasion from excessive handling. The film’s finish is designed to enhance color and reduce glare. Filmolux scratch comes with a siliconized glassine paper release liner. PP sand is a 5.8-mil, polypropylene laminating film that features a permanent, water-based acrylic adhesive with a siliconized glassine paper release liner. Neschen says PP sand’s fine texture gives the film a semi-matte finish and makes it highly durable. The two films are considered key laminating film components in Neschen’s Digital Graphic Solutions program. Scratch film is available in 150-ft (45.8-m) rolls with widths of 38, 43, and 51 in. (965, 1092, and 1295 mm). PP sand is available in 150-ft rolls with widths of 38, 43, and 48.8 in. (965, 1092, and 1239 mm).
