Thieme announces upgrades to its 5000 series of modular, multicolor graphics presses. The presses now feature all-steel construction, a new servo-motor drive system for smooth and quiet operation, a new squeegee-bridge system that features 90<#161> and 180<#161> swing-up and programmable squeegee attack-angle feature, and an optional banner-printing system for polythene or vinyl banner materials. Other features include temperature-controlled print tables for sensitive substrates, Speed Set-Up for fast screen change, scratch-resistant transport systems, and Advance Energy Management for economic UV drying. The presses are available in sizes ranging from 30 x 40 in. (762 x 1016 mm) up to 74 x 120 in. (1880 x 3048 mm).
