Roland unveils what it calls the world’s first UV inkjet printer/cutter and the company’s most advanced, versatile digital print-production tool to date. VersaUV LEC-300, a 30-in.-wide (762-mm) system, prints CMYK + white + clear coat ECO-UV inks on a varety of substrates and is equipped with two solid-state, low-heat LED lamps that are designed to protect temperature-sensitive materials. It supports imaging resolutions up to 1440 dpi and uses Roland VersaWorks 3.0 RIP software. The RIP supprots standalon cutting, print/cut workflows, and variable-data printing, and it offers PerfCut, which facilitates production of perforated cut lines.
