Advanced Finishing Solutions recently introduced the VERSA-Coater UV, a liquid laminator designed to protect printed graphics with a UV-curable coating. It accommodates media up to 0.50 in. (12.7 mm) thick and can coat at speeds up to 90 ft/min (27.5 m/min). VERSA-Coater UV has a built-in UV curing system and can use engraved rollers to texturize coated surfaces. Its UV-lamp-monitoring system indicates when the coater is ready to use. VERSA-Coater UV is available in 17, 24, and 36 in. (432, 610, 914 mm) widths and features automated start up and shut down, multiple supply tanks with auto wash, a filtered recirculation system, adjustable scraper blade, and a built-in fold-away catch tray.
