Virus Inks has announced WOW (wet-on-wet) ink technology, designed for screen printing textiles with water-based inks without flash curing between colors. The technology, first shown in Hamburg, Germany, at FESPA 2017 (where jobs were being run with only two flash curing units for the underbase and highlight whites), is designed to increase productivity and simplify workflow with water-based inks, particularly for entry-level printers with presses that cannot accommodate multiple flash curing units.
