Discussed fields of application include OLED lighting, organic photovoltaics, flexible and OLED displays, electronics and components, and integrated smart systems.

“The white paper shows, beside the short-, medium-, and long-term forecasts, that printed electronics has already arrived in our daily lives,” says Stephan Kirchmeyer, relations and marketing manager at COPT Center and co-author of the report, in a release.

Key findings include:

• Printed electronics are seeing a shift from “technological push” to “market push” due to advantages over conventional electronics in integration, costs, and design.
• Printed electronics have seen a global push across a number of sectors in recent years, including consumer electronics, healthcare, automotive, smart packaging, and buildings.
