Inca Digital Printers (www.incadigital.com) recently made two new options available for its Inca Onset wide-format flatbed UV inkjet printer. One option provides new print techniques designed to deliver higher print speeds, as well as two new, higher quality print modes. The other is designed to improve gloss, adhesion on difficult substrates, and more versatility with heat-sensitive materials through reduced power consumption. Inca says that the new printing techniques it developed offer a 16% increase in throughput, up to 7534 sq ft/hr (700 sq m/hr), equivalent to 145 full-bed sheets or 435 60 x 40-in. (1524 x 1016 mm) posters/hr. The other option now gives users a wider range of gloss levels and finishing choices. Included in this option is Inca’s latest UV-lamp technology, which is engineered to reduce the input power required to cure UV ink on most substrates. The new gloss/power-mode and speed-increase options are available to existing and new Inca Onset users.
