EFI recently added two models to its line of VUTEk wide-format UV inkjet printers. the GS3200 is a 3.2-m hybrid system that supports print speeds up to 2400 sq ft/hr (223 sq m/hr). VUTEk’s Dual Resolution Capability enables the printer to deliver true 600- and 1000-dpi output with selectable 24- or 12-pl drop sizes. EFI says the eight-color GS3200 exemplifies flexible, versatile production with its ability to transition from rigid to roll-to-roll in less than a minute. The printer also supports three-layer white printing capability. The 5-m GS5000r is a roll-to-roll inkjet printer supports prints speeds up to 3100 sq ft/hr (288 sq m/hr) and offers VUTEk’s Dual Resolution mode. The eight-color printer uses seventh-generation VUTEk UV inks that are formulated to adhere to a wide range of flexible substrates, including Tyvek, polybanner, and textiles.
