Mutoh’s new Osprey has a 75-in. wingspan and features that Mutoh says enhance performance and user-friendly operation. Examples include increased carriage acceleration and speed, high-frequency printhead drives, new inks, integrated bulk-ink system, and more. The solvent inkjet printer supports a maximum media width of 75.6 in. (1920 mm), a maximum printing width of 73.6 in. (1870 mm), and print speeds up to 860 sq ft/hr (80 sq m/hr)  The Osprey 75 is a six-color unit (CMYKLcLm) that uses six 256-nozzle Spectra printheads. Head height is adjustable in five steps, from 0.09-0.18 in. (2.5-4.5 mm). Ink options include Osprey PJ4, which is formulated for UV, scratch, and chemical resistance for up to five years and Osprey PJ4 Value, which is designed for mid-term outdoor durability.
