X-Rite Cup and Cylinder Fixture
Designed to measure color on curved surfaces.
X-Rite and Pantone have partnered to release the Cup and Cylinder Fixture, which enables eXact and Ci6x spectrophotometers to measure and control color nondestructively on curved surfaces such as small plastic parts, cups, bottles, and tubes for packaging, plastics, and industrial applications; compatible materials include plastic, foam, film, and paper. The fixture is designed for printers that need to measure color on final products without damaging the sample, and is said to reduce measurement time, streamline QC processes, and support sustainability by reducing waste. The customizable fixture includes a sample-positioning arm for moving/rotating a sample to measure at different locations and a bench for alignment.
