After 31 years in business, A Great American Print Shop (AGAP; Denver) has been acquired.
Abel Corral, owner of a Minuteman Press franchise in Denver, has purchased the shop from AGAP’s retiring owner, Frank Hibberd. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
The two men connected when Hibberd received a mailer from Minuteman Press, which prompted him to contact Jack Panzer, a regional vice president at the company. Panzer then connected Hibberd with Corral.
“A Great American Print Shop was strategically located within an area that I already reach and market to, and so this acquisition just seemed like a good fit,” Corral said in a media release. “I really liked that this was an established business with growth potential that I feel my team could capitalize on. The potential upside, close proximity, and perfect timing all came into play.”
The acquisition includes AGAP’s client base, paper inventory, some equipment including cutters, and access to Hibberd during the transition.
The release says the new Minuteman Press franchise will offer promotional products and apparel to AGAP clients, which were not previously available. Corral said he expects the deal will increase revenue for his business by 20 to 25 percent.
