Aqua Based Technologies says its Aqua Based 1910 is an advanced, heat-resistive, water-based coatings that offers excellent adhesion to foil, metal surfaces, and paper. The coating is suitable for use in laser printers and reportedly provides superior grease and oil-resistive properties, making it ideal for processing flexible packaging, folding box, and other general converting applications. The company’s other newest offering is AquaMulti-Lam 2710, an adhesive for wet-lamination applications. Aqua Based says the product handles various combinations of films and foil to paper, as well as paper to paper, for a numerous end-use applications. AquaMulti-Lam 2710 was designed specifically as a water-based adhesive for wet-nip laminating, using metalized PET or PP, and it reportedly exhibits high water-resistance properties. The company says that bonds maintain full integrity even after two weeks submersion in water.
