MacDermid Autotype designed its SIGMAGraF Shield AM to offer antimicrobial protection for hospital surfaces. It’s a heat-stabilized polyester film with a UV-cured hard coating on the front side and a pressure-sensitive, acrylic adhesive on the reverse surface. The film can be combined with cladding vinyl and graphics for protection on walls, doors, counters, and equipment in hygiene-critical areas. The film features Microban antimicrobial technology and is engineered to protect against solvents and cleaning chemicals, as well as resist impact and abrasion. Microban technology is designed to inhibit the growth of a wide range of bacteria, fungi, and molds.
