Aqueous Inkjet Printers

Mimaki recently announced the availability of its JV5 and JV33 wide-format inkjet printers as aqueous models. JV5-130/160 aqueous printers can be used to produce indoor graphics and transfer prints. It supports four- and six-color print modes, resolutions up to 1440 dpi, and features a staggered array of four printheads, and nozzle-failure and ink-discharge detection. JV33 printers use piezo printhead technology abd support four- and six-color print modes and resolutions up to 1440 dpi. Two types of aqueous inks are available. The new sb51 aqueous dye-sublimation ink is formulated for fast drying times, bleed resistance, improved color density, and wash-fastness. The other, an aqueous pigmented ink, is formulated for UV-fastness and high color density. Both inks feature Mimaki’s Uninterrupted Ink Supply System. Mimaki USA, 40 Satellite Blvd. NE, Ste.
