The Academy of Screen Printing Technology (ASPT) presented the annual Swormstedt Award to Rick Auterson during the keynote luncheon at the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association’s 2006 Expo in Las Vegas, NV. Auterson manages quality assurance at Pratt Corp., an Indianapolis, IN-based company that produces in-store environments, retail graphics, P-O-P and P-O-S displays, and more.

ASPT members use the Swormstedt Award to recognize the best article or technical paper published between August 1 and July 31. Auterson won for his article, “Taking Control of Color Management,” which appeared in the April 2006 edition of Screen Printing magazine. The article offered a detailed, step-by-step look at building and implementing a color-managed workflow, assessing quality, proofing, and troubleshooting.
