Automatic Garment Press

The MHM Matrix, from Hirsch (www.hirschinternational.com), is designed to enable screen printers to incorporate oversize and all-over printing without purchasing a press that will become obsolete. The automatic garment press is available in three standard print sizes: 20 x 28, 28 x 40, and 31 x 40 in. (508 x 711, 711 x 1016, and 787 x 1016 mm). Special sizes are available on request. Because the Matrix is modular, a printer can start small and increase the capacity of the press as order volumes increase. The press can be expanded in modules of four or six print stations.

Hirsch says the press is built to allow operators easy access between each print station for adjustments and setup and notes that it allows operators to lift squeegee arms separately from the printing stations for a better view of printed images. A special swivel platen with two arms enables users to to swing an arm in to load a shirt and then swing the arm back out to print across both sleeves. Platens, squeegees and flood bars are interchangeable with other models of MHM machines.
