Buyers’ Panel Announced for 2008 Signage and Graphics Summit

ST Media Group International, publishers of five trade journals for the visual-communications industries, has announced that buyers from AT&T/Cingular, Coors and Wal-Mart will be featured on the 2008 Signage and Graphics Summit (SGS) Buyers’ Panel.

Now in its third year, SGS is the only event in the industry that brings together top-tier executives from three different industries: high-volume sign, digital-printing and screen-printing for a high-level idea exchange. Topics of discussion include common challenges, best business practices and growth opportunities. It will be held January 16-18 at the elite PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach, FL.

The SGS Buyers’ Panel is one of the most popular sessions at SGS, and features an open discussion between attendees and a select group of high-volume signage and graphics buyers. “We are very excited this year, as we are every year, about the caliber of panelists,” said Steve Duccilli, Publisher of ST Media Group’s Screen Printing and The Big Picture magazines. “The Buyers’ Panel is one-of-a-kind because it gives signage and graphics producers a chance to learn what issues are really driving the decisions that key accounts are making. The panel features top buyers from several distinct market segments, so it covers a lot of ground and gives the attendees’ perspective that might take months of sales calls to glean. And with AT&T/Cingular, Coors, and Wal-Mart on the panel, you know it’s going to be a fascinating discussion. Beyond being three of the most recognized names in corporate America, each has done some very compelling things with their signage and graphics program over the past year,” said Duccilli.

In addition to the Buyers’ Panel, SGS offers a variety of other educational seminars featuring speakers and thought-provoking roundtable discussions. There are many networking and social events too, including the highly anticipated SGS golf tournament. This year, the tournament will take place at the PGA National Resort, home to 19 professional tournaments, including the Honda Classic, and five championship courses designed by golf’s greatest players.

"It’s a rare, educational opportunity to meet your peers for the purpose of information sharing as well as a potential market expansion," said Pat Hayes, chairman, Fabric Images, Inc. and SGS attendee.
