C02 Laser-Engravable Plates

Inkcups Now expanded its family of plates for YAG lasers with the addition of Imperial Plates, which are designed to be etched with C02 lasers. The plates are steel backed, 0.018 in. thick, and reportedly provide complete depth and halftone control. The plates are receptive to the etching of small dots and have a life of approximately 20,000 impressions. Inkcups Now says Imperial Plates can be made using its Cobalt laser systems or any C02 laser system with advanced software, small spot size, and quality power control. Inkcups Now Corp., 20 Locust St., Danvers, MA 01923, 978-646-8980, Web: www.inkcups.com.
