Carleen Gray Named CEO of GroupeStahl North America

Michigan-based GroupeSTAHL North America (STAHLS’) – the world’s largest manufacturer of garment decoration materials and equipment – has named Carleen Gray as the chief executive officer of North America. Gray succeeds Chris Lawson, who left the company earlier this year. Executive Chairman Ted Stahl made the announcement. 

 

Michigan-based GroupeSTAHL North America (STAHLS’) – the world’s largest manufacturer of garment decoration materials and equipment – has named Carleen Gray as the chief executive officer of North America. Gray succeeds Chris Lawson, who left the company earlier this year. Executive Chairman Ted Stahl made the announcement. 

 

Gray has been with STAHLS’ for over 20 years, most recently serving as its executive vice president sales and marketing and chief marketing officer. She has been instrumental in the recent efforts to streamline global operations and realign divisions. In her many years with the company, Gray has formed partnerships with licensed brands, major sports leagues and colleges and reshaped the apparel manufacturing sector.

 

“This position requires someone who can anticipate the future, understands the marketplace and continually propels the company into new business ventures and product development opportunities,” said Ted Stahl, chairman of STAHLS’. “Gray’s commitment and vision for the future of the company will allow her, and STAHLS’, to succeed exponentially.”

 

Gray’s appointment comes as the company continues to expand its business operations across North America. In the role of CEO, Gray will be tasked with evaluating business goals and mobilizing new operations to expand on the inventive and creative STAHLS’ brand. Customer relations will continue to be a large focus for Gray as she steps into her new role. Additionally, she will work to evolve the company in meeting the needs of the apparel market including the fast growing on-demand customization segment.

 

STAHLS’ started a small family run letter and imprint business in Detroit back in 1932. Today, the company is a technology innovator and the global leader in garment decoration equipment, materials, transfer technologies and decorated apparel. The company’s technologies provide customers – from small businesses to major sports leagues and high-profile brands – the ability to brand virtually any item from performance wear and team uniforms to accessories and sporting goods.
