In a strategic move meant to align with their corporate sustainablity practices, Catalina Graphic Films announces all Hi-Stat static cling face films, including the newly released Opti-Cling, will now be produced using Enviro-Cling technology— a 7.5 mil recyclable and eco-friendly static cling vinyl in clear or white.
Enviro-Cling technology is the only static cling made using renewable resources, and manufactured using a plant-based plasticizer. It is the only sustainable static cling on the market, making it an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional petroleumbased plasticizers.
With this switch, every 40,000 pounds Catalina’s Opti-Cling Hi-Stat family of static clings produced in favor of traditional petroleum-based films reduces the environmental footprint and reliance on fossil fuels by 1,625 gallons or 13,000 pounds.
Opti-Cling Hi-Stat with Enviro-Cling technology is compatible with most types of printing methods including offset, screen, eco-solvent, solvent, latex and UV-curable printing.
“We approach corporate responsibilities on many fronts,” cites Alan Dworman, President, “When the opportunity came in the form of Enviro-Cling technology, it was a natural move to incorporate it into all Opti-Cling Hi-Stat face stock production.”
Available in either 54” or 60” widths, up to 250 yard rolls, or can be sheeted with maximum sheet lengths up to 120”.
As with other Catalina products, Opti-Cling Hi-Stat with Enviro-Cling technology can be custom engineered to specific customer requirements.
