CGATS Presents 2004 Rollie Award

The Committee for Graphic Arts Technologies Standards (CGATS), Reston, VA, presented its Roland Zavada Standards Award (The Rollie) to Lawrence Warter, director of new business development for Enovation Graphic Systems, Inc., a Fujifilm company. The award recognizes an individual who has made significant and sustained contributions to the development of the US graphic-arts standards through participation in the work of accredited standards committees. Warter has worked in sales, marketing, technical, and research positions in the graphic-arts industry for more than 30 years, specializing in developing new markets and product applications based on projected market trends. Prior to joining Enovation, Warter was employed by DuPont, where he was involved with the market development for Brightlight films Cromalin. He also worked with Coulter Proofing. Warter currently serves as Corporate Fuji’s representative to global graphic-arts-standards efforts and has helped identify areas where standards are needed, promoted the development of standards, encouraged users to remain active in writing standards, and coordinated efforts between various standards-making organizations.
