LexJet says its GraphicShield UV Satin cold-mount vinyl laminate is flexible, durable, universally compatible, and extremely economical. The 3-mil laminate was developed in response to customer demands for a high-performance, short-term laminate that minimizes production error and do-overs, reduces waste and inventory, and saves money. GraphicShield UV Satin is constructed of a solvent-based acrylic adhesive and a polymeric vinyl base. The solvent-based adhesive is designed to ensure a strong bond between the laminate and the printed substrate, eliminate tunneling and delamination, and reduce the potential for color shift on solvent prints. LexJet says the vinyl base allows the laminate to properly expand and contract with the printed substrate, guarding against excessive shrinking, edge creep, and curling. GraphicShield UV Satin is available in 150-ft (45.8-m) rolls with widths from 35.5 to 61 in. (901 to 1549 mm).
