Version 2.6 of EFI’s Colorproof XF offers new features for digital and commercial, printers, prepress-service providers, newspaper and package printers, publishers, creative agencies, and photographers. The software consists of individual components that can be linked together in different combinations to create custom proofing configurations. Additional program modules can be added as needs expand. Colorproof XF enhancements include a manual nesting feature that enables users to output any number of files collectively as a single job. The program also allows users to work with process colors, spot colors, or combinations of both at the same time, as well as to define process colors (CMYK) as spot colors. Its cropping function makes it possible to remove a section of a page and print only the area of interest. Additionally, the software now supports a wider variety of printers, including certain models from the Epson Stylus Pro, HP Designjet, and Canon ImagePROGRAF lines. Two options are available to extend the software
