ColorGate, Metis Release 3D Scanner

Can capture surfaces such as wood, leather, stone, and more.

ColorGate has partnered with Metis to release the Metis Surf 3D ColorGate Edition scanner. Equipped with ColorGate RIP and color management software for decorative digital printing applications, the scanner’s high-speed surface digitization technology collects 3D surface property data such as color, glossiness, and depth. The machine then generates a color-accurate, high-res image with embossing data and a reflectivity map; images can be output on a number of supported digital printers. Compatible materials include wood, leather, stone, textiles, wallpaper, fine art, and more. Users can opt to add software for ICC profile generation.
