Conference Addresses Digital Fulfillment

The first International Symposium on Technologies for Digital Fulfillment will offer attendees programs about image processing, capture devices, output equipment and media, and solutions for retail, mobile, and home fulfillment. The symposium, which will be held March 3-5, 2007 at the Westin Casuarina Hotel and Spa in Las Vegas, NV, is sponsored by the Society for Imaging Science and Technology and scheduled just prior to the annual Photo Marketing Association International (PMA) Convention and Trade Show.

The technical conference will examine issues associated with generating photographic images from capture devices, such as digital cameras and color negative films, to output methods—including inkjet printing. Mark Schneider, chief technology officer of Kodak’s Consumer Digital Group, will present the conference keynote. The conference starts with an evening reception, followed by two days of presentations. Networking sessions are part of the schedule, as is a special session during which attendees may make five-minute presentations about their companies, technologies, and/or related activities.

Members of the 2007 Conference Committee include representatives from companies such as Eastman Kodak Co., Hewlett Packard Corp., ILFORD Imaging, Fujifilm USA, Sprint, and more.
