Custom-Made Platens

Looking to decorate some challenging materials on your heat press? Stahls’ Hotronix now makes custom platens to handle jobs such as spiked golf shoes, can koozies, gloves, umbrellas, a variety of bags, and more. According to Hotronix, the company works with clients to come up with designs to create custom platens to accomplish any job. “We have created custom platens for clients to print on the wrist band and the back of gloves,” says Ben Robinson, director. To get started, Hotronix needs a rough sketch of the platen shape. Once a design is completed, the company will provide a quote on the cost of the custom platen, which will be designed so that it can be interchanged with the standard platen on any Hotronix heat press.
