ONYX Graphics now offers print drivers for MacDermid ColorSpan’s family of 1200-dpi, 54-in., UV-curable inkjet printers and units in the HP Designjet Z2100 and Z3100 Photo Printer Series. Key software features include Pantone spot-color matching, contour-cutting workflow, and automatic job nesting. The four MacDermid ColorSpan models include the 5440UV (4 color), 5445UV (2×4 color), 5460UV (6 color), and 5465UV (2×6 color). All four models accommodate media up to 54 in. wide and can print on either roll or rigid media up to 1 in. (25.4 mm) thick. The HP Z2100 and Z3100 printers are available in 24- and 44-in. (610- and 1118-mm) wide models and are designed to produce high-end large-format prints. The ONYX drivers include support for the HP Z Photo Printer Series on-board spectrophotometer for calibration and re-calibration of media, as well as support for printer controls for gloss enhancer ink, drying time, cutter support, accounting features, and print mode (number of passes, extra passes, and bi-directional). The drivers include media profiles for HP ink and a range of media and are included in all standard 7.0 versions of ONYX ProductionHouse, PosterShop, and RIPCenter software.
