The organizers reported widespread interest in a number of fledgling initiatives like the drupa cube seminar area, drupa innovation park, 3D fab + print zone, and special areas dedicated to packaging and printed electronics, all technologies with noticeably more exhibitors and attendee traffic than at the previous drupa. A post-show release from Messe Düsseldorf announced that “one in two drupa visitors were interested in the various special shows and lectures.”
“The print industry is constantly reinventing itself and offers a wealth of high-potential facets,” adds Claus Bolza-Schünemann, chairman of the drupa committee and of the board at Koenig & Bauer.
Drupa also recently announced the details for its 2020 edition.
