Edward Cook is the president and founder of ECI Screen Print in Watertown, Connecticut. ECI Screen Print was nationally recognized by Inc 5000 as one of the fastest growing companies in America in 2015. The company is a manufacturer of high-precision, functional screen printed products such as bio-sensors, printed electronics, membrane switches, graphic overlays, and OEM industrial components.
In addition to Cook’s own company, he is also involved in several professional organizations that are closely involved in the graphic and printed electronic industries. Cook is currently serving as 2019 to 2020 Past Chairman of the Board of the Printing United Alliance (formerly SGIA, Specialty Graphic Industry Association), the largest American trade association for the Printing industry. He is also a member of the National Association of Graphic and Product Identification Manufacturers Association (GPI).
Cook has been involved with his local community in Torrington, Connecticut, as the founding donor and past-president of the highly acclaimed Five Points Center for the Visual Arts, (fivepointsgallery.org), which began as a Contemporary Art Gallery working to revitalize the community through arts and cultural experience and awareness.
His latest project is an expansion of the Five Points organization through the purchase of the former University of Connecticut Torrington Campus for a Five Points program expansion consisting of a 30,000-square-foot classroom facility and 85 acres where painting, ceramics, sculpture, photography, and print making studios, along with classes will be offered to the community.
