EFI and Pitman Sign Distribution Agreement

EFI, Foster City, CA, announced it has signed a strategic distribution agreement for its range of Jetrion industrial inkjet systems with graphic-arts supplier Pitman, Totawa, NJ. Pitman already represents EFI’s VUTEk superwide printing systems and the ColorProof XF solution for digital color proofing, large-format production, and photographic printing.

“This agreement will prove beneficial for Pitman, for EFI, and for the label-printing and packaging industry as a whole,” says Fred Rosenzweig, EFI president. “Now that the Jetrion 4000 is commercially available, Pitman provides the ideal channel to speed the rate at which our breakthrough technology can help label printers make the transition to digital printing to produce short-run jobs economically.”

“We are happy to extend our partnership with EFI, and are very excited about distributing Jetrion into the market for digital labels,” says Pitman’s new president, Peter Moore. “The Jetrion 4000 stands apart from other solutions, with lower running costs than tone alternatives, and a lower purchase price that delivers a compelling return on investment.”
