EFI VUTEk HS100 Pro UV Inkjet Press

The award-winning, 3.2m, high-volume EFI™ VUTEk® HS100 Pro UV inkjet press is now available with several automated material loading and unloading systems, and a new, award-winning, material edge guide (MEG) system for printing corrugated board and other challenging substrates at press rated-speeds.

Operating at speeds up to 100 boards per hour, or 70 boards per hour in point-of-purchase mode, the VUTEk HS100 Pro represents a true alternative to analog equipment, delivering critical color accuracy and consistency with higher productivity and digital efficiencies. It is the flagship press of EFI’s superwide-format production inkjet portfolio, and gives users the ability to produce longer sheet runs than other digital print products at a lower cost per print.

The VUTEk HS100 Pro press’s innovative Pin & Cure technology delivers precise ink lay down for better image quality and high production speeds, variable gloss control, increased color gamut, and fewer artifacts.

Automated material handling options for the press drive higher productivity by eliminating manual feeding and off-loading of jobs. Users can select from flatbed ¾ and fully automated load and roll media unwider systems, flatbed smart chute, and ¾ and fully automated unload and roll media rewinder systems.

The VUTEk HS100 Pro also offers an important enhancement for printing companies that want to use their press to print on corrugated board and corrugated plastic to create free-standing, point-of-purchase displays and packaging. Previously, this work was done by running equipment at much lower speeds to avoid damaged prints or costly head strikes caused when those substrates do not stay perfectly flat during the printing process. The latest offering for VUTEk HS100 Pro press users, the new MEG system, solves this problem, opening the door to higher-volume production challenging flatbed substrates.

The new, user-installable MEG accessory includes a series of rails that attach to the VUTEk HS100 Pro press’s existing feeder system to guide boards into the printing path. With the MEG system, users can run challenging rigid substrates up to two inches thick at full press-rated speeds to capture additional, profitable printing opportunities in flatbed inkjet printing.
