Vastex says it designed the E-1000 exposure unit as an entry-level system for start-up shops that need good, reliable equipment. The E-1000 is a table-top exposure unit that measures 36 x 36 x 16 in. (914 x 914 x 406 mm) and exposes screens up to 21 x 24 in. (533 x 610), including Newman Roller manual MZX frames. The E-1000 uses four UV blacklight bulbs and includes an analog timer that turns on exposure lights at the beginning of the cycle and turns off the lights and vacuum pump when the cycle is complete. The exposure unit is equipped with a vacuum pump, a black neoprene blanket, and a steel-framed vacuum lid that is held up by two gas springs and has two ball-bearing latches. The E-1000 is fitted to work with the VRS pin registration system, and it can be positioned on top of either of Vastex’s screen-drying cabinets to save space. Optional upgrades include high-output bulbs, legs, and casters. Vastex Int’l Inc., 1032 N. Irving St., Allentown, PA 18109-1846, 800-482-7839, e-mail: info@vastex.com, Web: www.vastex.com.
