Fiber-Based Inkjet Media

LexJet’s additions to its line of photographic media include Sunset Air Dried Fibre Gloss Natural 300g and Sunset Air Dried Fibre Satin 300g. Both are 14-mil substrates designed for approximately 95% opacity and pH value between 7.9-8.5. Gloss Natural features a coating for more than 300% ink coverage, receptivity to Epson Series Ultrachrome, dye and pigment-based inks, as well as compatibility with printers from Mimaki, Colorspan, and Roland. LexJet says no post-processing is necessary but notes that a clear fixative may be applied to enhance certain areas of a print. Fibre Satin also features a microporous a coating for more than 300% ink coverage, receptivity to Epson Series Ultrachrome, dye and pigment-based inks, as well as compatibility with printers from Mimaki, Colorspan, Roland, the HP Vivera, and the Canon Lucia.
