Film for No-Label-Look Applications

FLEXcon re-engineered its THINflex PP 160 HC TC-332 product to include a 0.92-mil PET liner, TRACrite 92. FLEXcon says the 1.6-mil, clear, BOPP film offers a 20% reduction over the standard 2.0-mil, clear product commonly used today. The TRACrite 92 liner reportedly offers a reduction of 8-24%, depending on the current liner used. Together, these changes are designed to offer cost-effectiveness while maintaining the performance capabilities required for food, beverage, and prime label applications.

The PET liner is recyclable, and FLEXcon works directly with third-party recyclers who assist printers and brand owners in developing programs to collect and reuse the materials. FLEXcon says the films offer excellent resistance to shrinkage, moisture, humidity, and product contents when backed by V-882 adhesive for prime label applications and A-208 for food and beverage applications. THINflex PP 160 is engineered to withstand the wear and tear of filling lines and temperature extremes of food and beverage labeling, meet reduced time-to-market demands, and conform and bond to various container shapes and types.
