Fimor, a family-owned polyurethane parts and squeegee manufacturer based in Le Mans, France, has celebrated its 40-year anniversary in 2017. “The squeegee may not be the focus of our industry, but you can’t have screen printing without it. It remains an essential tool that can affect the quality and productivity of every screen printer’s job,” says Fimor Founder and Chairman Alex Zuckerman in a release.
Fimor has adapted to the changing screen printing industry, providing solutions to a number of markets including textile, industrial, ceramic, and electronics printing. Zuckerman attributes much of the company’s international expansion to its first employee, Michèle Joly, who retired in 2016 after leading the screen printing division since its formation. In 2017, Fimor has nearly 100 employees across its offices and factories in three continents.
